Description | Fusiform Unguentarium. Pinkish-buff, clay with 2 brown slipped bands at the shoulder and 2 more at the base of the neck. Down-turned lip, conical foot. This item was evidently wrapped in a coarse cloth when placed in the tomb - heavily encrusted with the material's pattern from the top of the foot to just below the lip. |
