Description

Slightly squashed hollow lead fistula. Manufactured: poured into mold, then folded, smooth on all sides except seam, where very rough. Cut off smoothly at proper left and right; curled in upon itself at openings. Latin text reads: IM(p) (c)AES AVG VESPASIANI SVB CVRA CALLISTI AVG L PROC = (This is the pipe of) Imperator Caesar Augustus Vespasian, (made) under the supervision of Lucius Callistus, Proconsul for Augustus(?)
