Description | Single ear ornament: clouded leopard tooth with beads. Udong. String of dark blue, dark yellow and red beads coiled around a conical shaped form which is attached to base of tooth with some sort of black gum. Kenyah and Kayan men have holes punched in the upper part of their ears, "wherein, when they attain to full manhood and have been on a war expedition, there is inserted a tiger-cat's canine tooth decorated at the large end with a tuft of bead-work, or a silver cap, to keep it in place."
