Description

Tomb 2B = Herscher Tomb 802B. Red polished III jug with round spout. Clay orange to light brown to dark red, with large black inlcusions. Dark red-orange lustrous slip. Round-pointed base, ovoid body; conical neck, round spout, flat flaring rim; vertical handle from lower neck to upper body; small vertical handle at neckline opposite large handle. Relief decoration: low punctured bands, forming a V-motif at either side of upper body and below each handle; broken oval on mid-neck, horizontal below rim.
