Description | Nicosthenic pyxis, lacking foot and section of wall and rim. Fully glazed inside and out except for reserved, figured zone on upper wall. In zone are numerous male and female figures, the female figures all clothed, the male partly clothed, partly nude. These figures converge from two direction on a single nude male dancing figure advancing to the right. For general treatment of vessels of this shape in UM see EH Dohan, Mus.
